The day of Zealandia, it started off brilliantly because I got to wake up late and that meant that I wasn’t in a big rush when I woke up. I came to Zealandia with Charlie H and Arthur F, by the time we got there we were probably one of the last groups to arrive but that didn’t matter.
The first thing we did was this quiz where there was a computer/TV on it and we had to drag the animal pictures in different sections. Afterwards we watched a movie but it wasn’t really a movie annoyingly. It showed what New Zealand was like in the past.
Next was probably the best part because we got to see a incredible tuatara! It was very interesting how it felt because I thought that it would feel quite rough but it surprisingly was quite soft and smooth and it felt great.
After that we saw some native birds that had really vibrant colours and we got to see how clear the water was.
Next we saw what was in the water and there were Caddisfly larvae, a Mayfly and a worm that no one knew about.
At the end of that we went back on the bus and we went back to Wellesley.
